Streaming / Concentration

Information Systems students can specialize in a particular area of study, known as a streaming or concentration, by completing 20 credits of coursework. This focused learning will enhance their skills and knowledge in one of the Information Systems fields. Students can select a streaming that aligns with their specific interests and career goals. There are several streaming with different focus of study.

1. Enterprise Resource Planning – An Enterprise Resource Planning streaming in Information Systems programs provides students with a deep understanding of enterprise-wide software systems designed to integrate and automate business processes. This concentration equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement, manage, and optimize ERP systems in various organizational settings. Student will learn various ERP software SAP, Odoo, and Oracle Netsuite.
2. Business Intellegence – Business Intelligence (BI) is a field that focuses on using data to improve decision-making and business performance. Students will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to gather, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making. This concentration provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the tools, techniques, and methodologies used to extract valuable insights from data.
3. Cloud Computing – Cloud Computing is a streaming designed to equip students with a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and their applications in modern businesses
4. Digital Technology Automation – Digital Technology Automation is a field that focuses on leveraging technology to streamline and optimize business processes. In an Information Systems program with a Digital Technology Automation concentration, students will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance business operations. Students will also learn low code programming to create mobile application and learn about web design.
5. IT Governance – An IT Governance concentration in Information Systems programs provides students with a deep understanding of the frameworks, policies, and practices necessary to manage and control information technology (IT) within organizations. This concentration equips students with the skills to ensure that IT systems are aligned with business objectives, secure, compliant, and efficient
6. User Experience – A UX concentration in Information Systems programs provides students with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and practices. This concentration equips students with the skills necessary to create intuitive, engaging, and effective user interfaces for digital products and services.
