The proliferation of digital platforms and financial technology solutions has altered the way people conduct financial transactions. Among these enhancements is paylater, a service that allows users to postpone payments until a later date. This study aims to identify the primary drivers influencing the adoption of deferred payment options, paylater, among students in Tangerang, Indonesia, using the modified UTAUT model with the assistance of the PLS-SEM analysis method and SmartPLS 4.0. with quantitative methods based on the results of questionnaires distributed to 178 respondents. The findings of this study suggest that students’ intentions are influenced by their expectations of performance, perceptions of technology security, and the conducive conditions for using Paylater. and the existence of user intentions affects the interest in using Paylater.
