Mobile Commerce in Our Daily life _-Part 1
M-commerce or mobile commerce often called m-business or pervasive computing. M-commerce is the development of e-commerce that use wireless or mobile telecommunication networks. Characteristically m-commerce consists of two parts, namely mobility and reachability board. Said mobile explained that the activities carried out by cell phone or other technological devices that are mobile such as PDA (personal digital assistant), so that users can perform various activities of e-commerce anywhere. While the board said reachibility explained that any activity and wherever they are m-commerce users can extend or have the information he needs as soon as possible. This article tries to give an overview of m-commerce emerging in Indonesia today.
DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF M-COMMERCE
A wide variety of e-commerce applications can be done by m-commerce such as e-shopping (online shopping), e-banking (online banking), e-stock trading (Exchange Online), e-gambling (online gambling) and e-auction ( online auction). In general, the activity of m-commerce is divided into 12 categories, namely, mobile financial, mobile advertising, mobile inventory management, proactive service management, product locating and shopping, wireless reengineering, mobile auction or reverse auction, mobile entertainment services, mobile office, mobile distance education, data centers and mobile wireless music. Of the twelve categories above in its development can be combined into several activities adjusted for an application such as financial activities; marketing, advertisement and customer service; enterprise application; B2B and supply chain; individual consumer; location-based and non-Internet applications. Some of these categories have been developed in Indonesia, especially by the developer and provider of mobile phone.
Financial application is one of the prime examples of m-commerce. Some examples of these applications such as mobile banking, m-brokerage services, wireless electronic payment systems, micro payments, wireless web wallet and bill payment. Mobile banking applications already widely used by various banks in Indonesia, the customers of the bank can conduct banking activities such as check account balances, transfer, payment of electricity bills, water, phone, credit card, by using their cell phone. While wireless electronic payment systems is an application used for payment of food and beverage activities in a particular place or automatic car washes payments by simply sending an SMS from a GSM handset to a particular number. Cost of these activities will be taken from the great prices available credit for prepaid GSM or added to the toll charges are to be paid by the users of GSM abondemen. While the application of micropayments actually almost similar to the activity of wireless electronic payment, the difference, the users have to call a certain number and pay the phone time for the costs involved. It is also not much different from the wireless web wallet, this application is used for online payment, users use a virtual wallet (online wallet). By using bluetooth technology, cell phone they will be associated with a terminal of the provider so that they can pay whatever you want, of course, for the amount of money in these accounts.
